March Activities

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Monday, March 17th Parade Assembly - 4:00pm Parade from 6:00 till 7:00 pm Annually. the River Cat Boosters participate in the Old Sacramento Parade to help promote the River Cats Dinger is joining us and will be riding in the "Rivercats" pickup. Suggested apparel- "GREEN" and Cat Pack T shirt Green accessories are available to borrow or buy. To march in the parade, please print, sign and mail waiver form ASAP See bottom of form for address Parade Waiver Contact Pam Castro 916 372-6790 for pre-parade assembly information. Following the parade, the Boosters will be having a St. Patrick’s Day Party following the parade Round Table Pizza 127 "K" St. Old Sacramento Arrival time- 7:00-7:30 PM (reserved area) Price- $11 per person Price- $20 per couple Please note: If you are unable to join the parade, please come to the pizza party. Stockton Ports Road Trip      Modesto Nuts vs Stockton Ports Opening Night & Post Game Fireworks Thursday, April 3rd Game time 7:05 p.m. Come watch future River Cats The tickets are $10 and transportation will not be provided. Reno Bus Trip to Silver Legacy Hotel & Casino Saturday, April 5th Come join boosters and friends on a fun-filled day trip Annually, the River Cat Boosters have a fund-raising trip to Reno Proceeds will be used for the River Cats “Team Welcome Bags” The bus will leave West Sacramento at 7:30am (with a possible stop in Roseville) Eastbound activities: Drawings, Bingo and Snacks (pastries/coffee/bottled water) Westbound activities: Movie & Snacks (snack/soda/bottled water) Once we get to Reno, you can shop, eat, gamble or just enjoy the scenery The bus will return to Sacramento near 8pm. The cost is $30 Includes casino rebate of $10 cash & $5 food credit, transportation, snacks, non alcoholic drinks, movie & one free raffle ticket Participants must be at least 21 years old. Booster's Welcome Dinner for our River Cats players THIS IS A BOOSTERS ONLY EVENT Reservations Required Wednesday, April 16th Setup time -- 5:00 p.m. Appetizers -- 6:00 p.m. Hawaiian/Tropical theme Dinner -- 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required by Noon, Monday, April 14, 2008 This event is a potluck for the players, coaches and families to get together and socialize. May Activities

BASEBALL FOR ALL AT INDEPENDENCE FIELD Saturday, May 3rd Independence Field This year, as in the past, the boosters volunteer to prepare and serve food for everyone attending Baseball for All. This is a day where the River Cat players and coaches give a clinic for kids with handicaps. The boosters will be serving hot dogs, chips, drinks and deserts to about 100 kids and care givers. We need a 4 to 5 volunteers to serve the food and get things organized, so that when they kids are ready to eat we can get them fed right away. If you would like to help call Russ Mueller at (916) 729-5318. Prepare time -- 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Lunch time -- 11:30 a.m. to noon Cleanup time -- noon to 1:00 p.m.

General Membership Meeting This meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 21st

Sacramento River Cruise and Dinner Come join the boosters for dinner and a cruise down the Sacramento River on board of the Spirit of Sacramento Wednesday, May 21st Boarding will be between 6:00 & 6:30 pm at the boat docked in Old Sacramento We will cruise down the river and back between 6:30 & 8:30 The cruise will include a buffet dinner starting at 6:45 Normal Price - $50.00 Booster Discount Price $16.00 for members and guests Buffet Dinner includes Braised Beef Short Ribs, Braised Chicken, vegatable, pasta salad, desert, coffee plus an open bar General Membership Meeting Special Guest Speaker River Cats Manager Todd Steverson and possibly some River Cats players RSVP by May 16th, 2008 Mail your reservation and payment to: RCBBC, P.O. Bark in the Park Sunday, August 3, 2008 This is the River Cats annual event where people can bring their dog to the ballpark. The River Cats have asked the boosters for 8 volunteers (plus 2 alternates) to help with this event. Contact Kathy Randall (916-371-0186) for more details.

Player's Team Dinner FIESTA FIESTA!!!! COME HAVE DINNER WITH RIVER CATS PLAYERS!! Wednesday, August 6th Appetizers -- 6:00 p.m. Dinner ------ 6:30 p.m. This is our End-of-Season Dinner for the players Come and join your fellow booster members and players for a pot luck dinner! We will be serving chicken and steak fajitas, rice, beans and all the extras!
