Wow! What an All Star season year 2007 was. The River Cats won every championship the went after, Walt Horn is the new Assistant Trainer for the A’s and Tony DeFrancesco is the new Third Base Coach for the A’s. Congratulations to all of you.

I’m now looking forward to the 2008 season and I know all of you want to wish our new Manager Todd Steverson a big “Welcome” to the River Cats and as much success as Tony had while he was manager.

A new Boosters Board has been elected and they are looking forward to a fun and successful year. Many activities are being planned: Welcome Dinner, Road Trips to the Ports Opening Night, Fresno and two A’s games, along with several General Meetings with current and past River Cat players and maybe on with our new manager, and some sort of Farewell event for the team.

The Board would like to thank the many members of the Booster’s Club for all of their help and dedication. Some of the members that took charge of events were: Pam Castro Membership and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Harry Butler for the Ports Road Trip, Carol Edmonds for the Newsletters and the Train Trip to the A’s, Dave and Irene Farmer for cooking and coordinating the Welcome and Farewell diners, Vikki Wehrer and Sarah Loder for the coordinating the Welcome Bags, Nicol Jernigan for the raffles and raffle prizes, the Carters for always being there when needed and Steve Franklin as Web Master. Thank you so much.

Thank you to the members as you always jumped in to help and get things organized. You were great.

Thank you for electing me President for a second year. I will try to make you proud me and the new Board of Directors.
